Astigmatism
What Is Astigmatism?
Astigmatism is a refractive error where vision is distorted at all distances. It often occurs together with myopia or hyperopia.
What Causes Astigmatism?
In normal eyes, the cornea is spherical. In astigmatic eyes, however, the cornea is oval-shaped. When light enters an eye with an irregularly-shaped cornea, the light cannot be focused properly on the retina, resulting in distortion of vision at all distances.
What Are The Treatment Options For Astigmatism?
There are a number of treatments. Glasses and contact lenses provide temporary hyperopia correction. Refractive surgery like LASIK, ICL provide long-term correction.

- Contact Lenses

- Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL)
- Cataract Surgery
